Rokea is a Seattle native. She received her Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington. Rokea started her doula experience as volunteer birth doula in 2007 with Open Arms! In in 2007 Rokea completed her first doula training. In 2016 Rokea completed a 10 week community based outreach doula training. Rokea is a trained Birth Educator and a trained Lactation consultant. Rokea takes pride in being resourceful and offering an holistic approach to the way she serves families. Rokea is passionate about seeing communities of color experience improved birth outcomes and helping as many moms as possible experience birth the way they desire. Rokea’s other interests are in nutrition and herbal remedies. Rokea has been blessed to become a mother and is looking forward to swapping stories and sharing her experiences with other moms. She is also a city commissioner on the Seattle Women’s Commission, holding the position as the health and community wellness liaison.
