I began my doula adventures in 2014 when I realized my passion lay in birth work, not office work. So even though I swore I was done with school after earning my Bachelor’s degree, I signed up for “doula class” and began to learn how to best serve women and families during labor and birth. I read books, interviewed moms, participated in workshops, and finally began attending births in 2015.
I am dedicated to educating, encouraging, and empowering women and their families through their pregnancy and birth journeys. The process of pregnancy, labor, and birth is absolutely fascinating to me, and every experience and story is extraordinary. It is very much a privilege for me to be a part of my clients’ lives and stories during this incredible time.
Training and certifications I’ve earned:
certified with Birth Arts International (March 2015)
“When Survivors Give Birth” workshop at Bastyr University (Feb. 2016)
Birth Doula training at Bastyr University (March 2016)
100% Doula business course (Oct. 2016)
