Congratulations! One of the most important decisions that you can make towards a satisfying birth surrounds the team you assemble to support you. We know that aside from the provider and location you select, the doulas you choose can impact that outcome.
I am one of the founding partners with Birth Matters NW. Established in 2015 this collaborative, care based model centers around fostering a positive emotional connection between the laboring individual, their primary support person and the doulas as well as connecting them with evidence based information to support the birth of their choosing.
I completed took my DONA approved doula training at the Simkin Center for Allied Professionals at Bastyr University in 2013 and chose PALS Doulas as my certification organization, resonating with it’s goal of supporting and connecting doulas locally. I am also a trained Placenta Encapsulator and provide postpartum Benkung Belly Binding. I believe that continuous learning helps not only me grow, but allows me to provide the best information and support to the clients we serve.
Originally from Sourthern Georgia/Northern Florida, my family relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2009. I am mother to two amazing and active young men and have been married for 15+ years. We love to camp, explore, hike, and are tiny living north of Seattle.
Mariah Falin is the current president of PALS Doulas.
