Congratulations! One of the most important decisions that you can make towards a satisfying birth surrounds the team you assemble to support you. We know that aside from the provider and location you select, the doulas you choose can impact that outcome.

Working in partnership with Ildi Sebestyen, we have built Birth Matters NW. This collaborative, care based model centers around fostering a positive emotional connection between the laboring individual, their primary support person and the doulas as well as connecting them with evidence based information to support the birth of their choosing.

Combining my educational background in nursing and my passion to support birth I took my DONA approved doula training at the Simkin Center for Allied Professionals at Bastyr University in 2013. I am also a trained Placenta Encapsulator and provide postpartum Benkung Belly Binding. I believe that continuous learning helps not only me grow, but allows me to provide the best information and support to the clients we serve.

Originally from Sourthern Georgia and Northern Florida, my family relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2009. I am mother to two amazing and active boys, and have been married for 15 years. We love to camp, explore, hike, and are tiny living north of Seattle.
