NWDC Workshop: Empowering Communities Through Ancestral Rebozo Techniques
Empowering Communities Through Ancestral Rebozo Techniques with Lucia Gutierrez
Join us to be introduced to a deep understanding of the story, lifestyle uses, and meaning of the rebozo from a true indigenous source.
We will have the opportunity to feel how the rebozo works and the energy behind its making; learn how to use and integrate the rebozo in your life, and practice techniques that can be used during pregnancy. This class will help to destroy myths created around the rebozo in the United States, and return the true value of the rebozo to its authentic teachers and creators of this powerful element charged with energy and ancestral wisdom. Through this class, we will gain a new appreciation for this ancient Mesoamerican technique.
Lucia Gutierrez is a Mexican indigenous engineer was born and raised within the Purhepecha empire, working within the local government for 8 years, and moving recently to Cleveland.
